Episode Summary:
Police Officer Michael Arthur Long is shot in the face and left for dead. He is rescued by the Foundation for Law And Government (FLAG), given a new face and identity as Michael Knight, crimefighter. To assist him, he is given the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) a futuristic, talking Trans Am.

Episode Review:

They pulled out all the stops for the series premiere to show off the car as much as possible. There are Turbo Boosts, wall crashes, and high speed chases everywhere. Plus, Michael and KITT never bickered more than when they first starting to get to know one another:
Michael: "You know, you're about as much fun as a divorce... which is not a bad idea."
KITT: "I want custody of me."
